Panui Pasifika is a programme that explores the links between Māori and Pacific identity in Aotearoa. Protest is one arena where we stood united.  We look back at the rise of Ngā Tamatoa and the Polynesian Panthers in the 1970’s.  Our protest episode also backgrounds the recent Tongan demonstrations and looks back in time to Samoa’s Mau independence movement.
