Kōrero Time
Every year in Aotearoa/New Zealand, Māori students are encouraged to take part in a National Speech Competition.
This series follows some of the young hopefuls as they strut their stuff in front of a loud and critical audience of their peers. The competition is intense and nerves are strained. Central to Māori culture is not only the content of the spoken word, but also the power of its delivery by the speaker to capture and hold an audiences attention. Kōrero Time captures our youth taking on this challenge, looking to master their skills, speaking to be number one.
