Treaty Of Waitangi/ Te TiritiO Waitangi claim processes represent massive rip off of Native Maori lands and resources. The justifcation of socially engineered laws reflect how White Eurocentric system continual genocidal processes of colonialism that has never stopped since 1840. Unitl Native Maori realise and educate themselves in regards to colonialism people can never moved forward; 1) by healing the denial of pakeha domination of white superiroity through the World. 2) Omit their own global nepotism of looking after their own financially. 3) Maori kupapa that are paid/ made stalk holders in thei system who kill, murder their own native realtives for white rule.
Through out the World White people are going to be caught out.
People should learn to heal their past/ present, so the future benefits all. To work for each other and not a selceted few.

Dear Willie

Firstly, I would like to say that I enjoy watching Eye to Eye (when I can hear what is being said) and learn a lot from the opposing points of view.

This morning I was appalled to hear you espousing republicanism for NZ.

The Treaty was signed between Maori and Queen Victoria. She and her rightful successors were enshrined as our Head of State. Our nation was born with the signing of the Treaty.

I recognise that in this day and age it is not practical or desirable for our Head of State to live on the other side of the world.

However, the solution is not to open up the position so that immigrants from God Knows Where can set themselves up as the face of NZ.

During vast periods of history, nations in this same position (and Maori tribes under similar circumstances) have invited a member of the sovereign’s (chief’s) family to reside in the country and take up the crown.

In my opinion, republics are a pretty uncertain model for governing a democracy as can be shown with a quick sweep around the world. We have many examples of so-called republics which have turned into dictatorships and ones where a dynasty has been established under an umbrella of so-called free and fair elections.

NZ’s history and heritage revolve around Maori history and culture and the British Crown with the richness of history and culture it brings.

If we look at nations which have a constitutional monarchy, they are among the best-governed and most forward-looking in the world.

I would want a process whereby NZ petitions the Queen to hand over her rights as Head of State of NZ to an agreed member of the royal family. That person would reside in NZ and at his/her death, the position would fall to one of his/her children. The mechanism by which this was done would be decided here. My own preference would be for a council similar to that which decided the Maori kingship to look at the relative merits (and wishes) of all the children, male or female.

Maori would be involved in this process and, in the course of time – numbers of people with a Maori ancestor being what they are – we would select a monarch who would have Maori blood.

To me, this would be the ideal culmination of our situation of Head of State.

To me, also, the idea of a president, no matter how accomplished in other fields, who is originally Dutch, South African, Afgani etc etc is unacceptable. We have plenty of ways in which such people can be recognised and can attain power, as through the electoral process.

Do we really want yet another set of elections involving someone with political affiliations? Do we want an appointed president with the taint that that would bring? Do we want a different Head of State every five years?

People who live under a constitutional monarchy have continuity as we have experienced with Queen Elizabeth. We can go ahead and argue about Prime Ministers and Cabinet Ministers and so on but in the background there is the umbrella of the sovereign. Isn’t this what the Maori King movement was looking for?

Please, Willie, let’s think about this very carefully. We are not a mini US. We are not even a mini Australia so I would regard any decisions Australia might make as completely irrelevant to NZ.

Let’s do what is best for the traditions and history which are alive in NZ – and that is a continuation of our monarchy.

Cheers

The Queen of England should be prosecuted for genocidal practises on Native Maori. Replication proves England had socially engineered racism on a global scale. The time has come for white eurocentric people to heal their own past of theft and dishonesty, theft of Native Maori lands and resources.
The Native Royal House of TeKapuamatotoro is the oldest royal line in Aotearoa/ New Zealand, its authority descends from Maui through TeIwiKatere unbroken. This National authroity has never transmitted to the Queen of England, nor has its members of the royal house given any authority to any person or groups of people in Aotearoa. Its native title is TeIwiAMaui, the definding of this country boundsary as a nation. TeIka A Maui-north island, TeWaaka A Maui-south island etc... is Native Maori Authority. The term tangatawhenua descends from Maui and identifies who is and is not tangatawhenua.

Ko Huriana/ spokesperson Wai 542 claim/ Waitangi Tribunal claim.

The Queen of England is not the head of State over Native Maori whenua.
Due to socially engineered laws created by colonialist pakeha, had placed and justified Her name as Head of State...a guess...a hopeful guess that she may be Head of State of Aotearoa...pre-emption being unsure..passing enough time over the years to acculturated this type of learning?
The Sovereign authority of Aotearoa has never transmitted to any foreign State. The Treaty/Tiriti recognises Native Title over and above Crown Law. The Declaration of Independence 1835 verifies Native Law.
Native Law and title still remains as the people O Te Iwi A (Maui-the Maori forefather tangatwhenua of these islands). Many Arikinui never signed any authority to pakeha due to this fact.
The actual manawhenua of Te Ika A Maui-north island of NZ/ where all tribes rest on Maui great fish.
Te Waaka A Maui-south island of NZ/ where all tribes rest of the great waaka of Maui. And all associated islands in and around NZ/Aotearoa.
MauiTikiTikiATaranga consecrated his authority to Te Iwi Katere, who was the Arikinui of TeTauira. After the North island of NZ arose out of the sea Maui iwi colonialised the entire North Island which became know as Te Ika A Maui. The kupu 'tangatawhenua' derives from Maui and Tiki union. All those tribes or people who can not whakapapa back to Maui and his uri are not tanagatawhenua.
TeIwiKatere and TeKapuamatotoro union forms the first royal family O Aotearoa.
They both descend from .I.O.(God) direct. This proper head of State of TeIwiKatere & TeKapuamatotoro is represented in the Waitangi Tribunal as Wai542-1995 and associated numbers PC148/ PC 7/PC 12/PC and others-1986....
Due to criminal manipulation by officials, (1986-1995-2009)... TeKapuamatotoro land claims for the NgaiTahu/ Te Waaka A Maui region was not heard, (1986-1995). TeKapuamatotoro made submissions to the Privy Council as NgaiTahu King Line.
TeKapuamatotoro was the last Maori King proper, who resided at his specially built Nga Pa of Hikawai-te-parereke-reketanga-o-nga-rangatira/ others/ located in Frasertown, Wairoa. TeKapuamatotoro tuakana of the Tainui Arikinui, in respect to their own lines; recognition to Eva Rickard and her Whaiangaroa State-Mana O Te Whenua A Maui.
TeHaengaParetipua and his haapu never supported or recognised Tainui Arikinui as the King line of Aotearoa. This still remains today by TeKapuamatotoro.
Tainui has too many tuakana for this to occur. But Tainui enjoy the recognition as Tainui Arikinui for Tainui nation.
TeHaengaParetipua-koia-tahi-te-tangata-rangatira-o-NgatiKahungunu-1931. TeHaenga the last Hauhau Minita/ rangatira proper.
I coin the phrase of the late Canon Wi Huata amongst other kaumatua and kuia in the whare wananga o Ruawharo Rangiaatea, "Haenga was the chief of all chiefs".
TeHaenga is buried at Ruataniwha Pa, Ruataniwha Road, Wairoa.

Possible Treaty/Tiriti O Waitangi Settlements may be born on fiscal base. Lands and resources returned to Native Maori are leased back to the Crown who lease to private pakeha concerns and corporations. This corrects all past injustices. Inclusion also of so called pakeha private lands.
Native Maori become the landlords and everyone else benefits from good leases. Native Maori are and have always shared their wealth irrespective of race.
